Job Description



 

  • Manage ICU admissions and conduct comprehensive patient assessments in a fast-paced critical care environment
  • Diagnose and treat critically ill patients as a first-line provider alongside intensivist physicians
  • Perform critical care documentation and maintain accurate, timely clinical records
  • Execute bedside procedures within your scope of practice and credentials, including central line placements and other critical care interventions
  • Collaborate with physicians, consultants, nurses, and the multidisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes
  • Provide patient and family education and care coordination
  • Ensure safe, efficient delivery of ICU-level inpatient care

Qualifications



 

  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Michigan (or proof of application)
  • National certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (may be obtained after hire)
  • DEA registration and Michigan Controlled Substance License (PA) or DEA registration (NP) through credentialing
  • 3+ years of ICU experience as an Advanced Practice Provider
  • Central line placement experience

**Education:**

  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (CCNE or NLNAC) or Physician Assistant program (ARC-PA)
