Job Description

MalaceHR is seeking a skilled Electrician  to support a commercial facility. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while also assisting with general facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the building.

The ideal candidate will have strong electrical troubleshooting skills, experience working in commercial environments, and the ability to support a wide range of facility maintenance needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and systems throughout the facility.

  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.

  • Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools.

  • Diagnose electrical issues and perform repairs including replacing worn or defective components.

  • Examine electrical systems for loose connections, damaged insulation, or other hazards and perform necessary repairs.

  • Disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace faulty parts, and reassemble equipment.

  • Support preventative maintenance programs for electrical and facility systems.

  • Assist with general facility maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of building systems.

  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment while ensuring parts and supplies are organized and stocked.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics.

  • Follow all safety procedures and comply with facility maintenance standards.

Required Skills:

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, operation, repair, and maintenance.

  • Basic understanding of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and electrical diagrams.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Experience working as an electrician in a commercial or industrial environment preferred.

  • Knowledge of electrical systems, equipment maintenance, and facility operations.

  • Ability to perform both electrical and general maintenance tasks within a commercial facility environment.
